Five-a-Side Football is an informal gathering of men in their 20s to 40s who meet on Monday evenings in the main Sports Hall of Beacon Community College throughout the year (except for school holidays) between 8.30 and 10.00. Its main objective is to establish links between men who enjoy sport, like some regular exercise and have an interest in the Christian faith. No previous knowledge, Christian belief or sporting ability is required. Occasional social evenings such as an Indian meal or go-karting are also arranged. This is a low-key approach to building friendships, so that invitations to other events can help introduce members to church life and, hopefully, Christian experiences.
