The Men’s Study and Discussion Group tries to meet the needs of men at different stages of their quest to understand more closely God’s word and purpose. Some are right at the beginning of their search; others have been Christians for a number of years. Sometimes we pursue a particular theme for two or three meetings, but more usually we respond to the more immediate questions that our members would like to explore. In this way, we cover a wide range of themes during the year, always basing our discussions on what the Bible says, and coming back to its teaching after we have looked at the wider implications of the topic we are examining.

The group is also actively involved in raising funds to provide school and other facilities for the village of Chapsinja in Malawi. Our funding enabled a nursery school to be built in 2010 and to cover its ongoing running costs. We have also now secured funds to provide the first classrooms of a primary school which will open there by september 2012.

Each evening ends with prayer, followed by refreshment and conversation. The group meets fortnightly on Monday evenings in each other’s homes.
